The VISOCTM algorithm based system to communicate and control home appliances and consumer electronics products.

 

The VISOCTM is designed using low cost General Purpose MCU.

VISOCTM target markets are:

  • Home Appliances: washing machine, microwave, electric oven, refrigerator, etc.
  • Automotive: Audio, HVAC, Navigation

VISOCTM Technical Details

The VISOCTM consists of several key elements:

  • MCU – runs application Scenario simulation, the proprietary Dynamic Hybrid RecognitionTM ASR algorithm and the Voice Output module.
  • MCU internal RAM – saves the A/D incoming data, Enables efficient data read for accelerating the preprocessing process and stores the minimum data for the preprocessing machine calculation
  • Codec – 16-bit A/D and D/A (12 effective bit) which handle the input and output voice signals.
  • Flash - Stores the encoded voice samples of the output voice, stores the ASR model’s coefficients and stores the Voice Encoding coefficients.

The VISOCTM product is a chipset module has the following key peripherals:

  • MCU: Fujitsu MB91465
  • Audio Codec: Wolfson WM8510
  • FPGA  (Optional): Xilinx Spartan 3E - For full navigation solution

Santiaga has achieved good performances by using low resources MCU and by that reducing the total BOM (Bills of Material) price.

The product will be sold at the first stage as a sealed module that interfaces the existing Appliance MCU.

In the designing process of the product, the A/D pins of the MCU are left idle.

Thus in the second phase of marketing the VISOCTM MCU can replace the existing Appliance’s MCU.
